Three Scouts and their leader along with a Cub leader and set off for a 26 mile bike ride along the Blackwater Valley path and Basingstoke Canal.
The Scouts left Shepherd's Meadow car park at 9:30 in the morning. The weather was warm and the cycle along the river pleasant. We arrived at the canal at around 11:00 and still had 5 miles to cycle untill we reached half way. We hit the 13 mile mark and turned back to Ash Lock to have our lunch.
After lunch we continued back where we saw various wildlife and even a brave little mouse who sorted Ian out when he tried to move him along.
We arrived back at Sandhurst at 15:23 hrs with everyone feeling proud of what we had achieved.
Well done 1st Owlsmoor Scouts and Leaders.
