Ferny Crofts Camp - 3rd~6th May 2013

Nine Scouts and five Cubs enjoyed an excellent camp at Ferny Crofts in the New Forest on a sunny bank holiday weekend. Their adventure started on Friday evening when they travelled to the campsite by train and hiked the last couple of miles. They enjoyed activities including archery, leap of faith (high ropes), abseiling down a 60' tower and a 300' zip wire - which the leaders also braved! There was a campfire talent contest held over two nights - it was neck and neck between the leaders and the children until one particular scout stole the show on the second night with his animal impressions! The children completed a lot of badge work during the camp and enjoyed a 7km hike and managed to find some geocaches. Thanks to Ian for many of these pictures.
