Bears Rails Camp - 3rd~5th May 2008

The Cubs and Scouts enjoyed a camp at Bears Rails near Windsor over the May Day bank holiday weekend. On Sunday the Cubs hiked to Runnymead where they were joined by the Beavers for a boat trip on the River Thames to Windsor. Other Cub activities included back woods cooking, a wide game exploring Windsor Great Park, a model boat race and Crystal Maze game. The Scouts helped with maintenance work at the campsite to complete their Outdoor Challenge and had instruction on using different types of stoves and tasting a selection of backpacking / lightweight meals for lunch on Sunday. The weather was good and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
